What do I mean by “Feed Your Spirit?” And what does this have to do with controlling food cravings? When I refer to the spirit, I’m talking about that deep part inside of you that makes you feel like something in your life is still missing, even though everything may be going well in all other areas of your life. It’s that gnawing feeling deep down inside of you that you can’t quite put your finger on. It’s important to have balance in all areas of our lives – body, mind, and spirit. Any parts that are unbalanced can cause our lives to spiral out of control and this can manifest itself in food choices or disordered eating. In this category, I will write about ways to calm your spirit, such as mindfulness practices and meditation. Some of my writing will be from a faith based perspective, as that is one way that I feed my spirit. This may look different for you, but I believe there will still be ideas in there to help move you forward, even if you disagree with my perspective sometimes. I would love to hear your ideas as well.
